The collection consists of a photocopy of the Hoag page from the Dictionary of American Biography and D. D. Miles' manuscript copy of Joseph Hoag's A Prophetic Vision from Heaven copied from Hoag in December, 1841 when he was passing through Ohio on a missionary tour.

Biographical / historical:

Joseph Hoag (1762-1846) of Oblong, Dutchess County (N.Y.), was a Quaker itinerant preacher and visionary.
