Scope and content:

The Theater Program Collection is contains programs, playbills, and newspaper announcements for theater productions from the late 1700's to the late 1900's. In addition, there is also a collection of cinema and concert production programs. Most productions are listed according to the location (city/state/country) and/or theatre where they were performed. There is also a special 'Black Theatre' section which pertains to productions focused on African American culture.

Acquisition information:

The contents of this collection were acquired by the Hargrett Library over many years through various purchases and gifts. It was made into a manuscripts collection in Spring 2011.
