Scope and content:

The collection consists of two scrapbooks containing letters addressed to Auld Lang Syne, from 1941 graduates of Athens High School (Athens, Georgia) serving in World War II. Scrapbooks also contain photographs; issues of Auld Lang Syne; and newspaper clippings concerning Auld Lang Syne and staff, and 1941 graduates of Athens High School.

Biographical / historical:

Auld Lang Syne was a mimeographed newspaper sent to members of the 1941 class of Athens High School (Athens, Ga.) serving in World War II. The active staff of the newspaper included Susan Smith, Ann Findley, Rue Bloodworth, Lucy Payne, and John Tibbetts.
