Scope and content:

The collection consists of two albums of handwritten poetry, acrostics and some diary notations written by Mary Tisdale Bond. One of the albums includes some friendship poems and drawings of flowers. The first page of that album states "January 1823 - written at Turkey Creek, Wilkinson County, Geo. our first home after marriage..." Also mentioned are moves to Mississippi and Arkansas (Warren and Pine Bluff).
