The collection consists of Flanigen's wartime correspondence, including V-mail and family correspondence. Family correspondents include Barrington L. Flanigen, C. D. Flanigen, and Harold Milton Heckman. Also included are a sketchbook and a scrapbook. The scrapbook contains material such as clippings, invitations and tickets.

Biographical / historical:

Jean Flanigen was an artist and a WAC in World War II. She was born 7 February 1898.

Harold Milton Heckman was a professor of accounting at the University of Georgia for 45 years.
