Background

Scope and content:

The collection consists of 32 photographic slides of costumes designed by Tara Maginnis while a student at the University of Georgia. The designs were for "The Romancers" and "Lord Byron's Love Letter" which were performed on campus by the Georgia Resident Acting Company.

Biographical / historical:

Tara Maginnis was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Georgia from 1985-1987. She is currently an instructor and costume design specialist at Diablo Valley College. She is best known for her creation of The Costumer's Manifesto, a large, eclectic, Internet costume site.
