The collection consists of scrapbooks documenting George B. Storer's career in the communications industry containing newspaper clippings, photographs, some correspondence and memorabilia relating to Fort Industry Company (1947-1953), Storer Broadcasting Company (1953-1971), and Northeast Airlines (1965-1970).

Biographical / historical:

George Butler Storer, founder of the Storer Communcations, Inc. and its predecessors Fort Valley Company and Storer Broadcasting Company. Storer bought controlling interest in Northeast Airlines in 1965.

Storer Communications, Inc. is an American communications company founded in 1927 in Toledo, Ohio, by George B. Storer. It began as a radio broadcaster, and moved in television in 1948, then as a pioneer in cable television in 1963.
