The collection consists of correspondence written by Lassiter while serving as a supply officer with the 25th Air Depot Group from his assignments in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Guam. Written to his parents, Elwood G. and Georgia Salter Lassiter of Covington. The collection also contains correspondence to Lassiter from his parents and brother Luke, both during the war and while Lassiter was a student at the University of Georgia.
