The collection consists of printed documents relating to the Ku Klux Klan unit in Lithonia, Georgia. Documents include quarterly reports, lists of men suspended, financial reports, and applications for membership. The collection also includes documents from Dr. Samuel Green, office of the Grand Dragon, Realm of Georgia, Atlanta, Georgia.

Biographical / historical:

Ku Klux Klan (KKK), a secret society organized in 1866 by Nathan Bedford Forest and other Confederate veterans to intimidate newly freed African Americans. Disbanded in 1869, the KKK re-emerged in 1915 under the leadership of William J. Simmons.
