The collection consists of one guest book of Charles Douville and Ivah Willis Coburn recording the guests of their social functions during the years 1939-1947. Dignitaries entertained by the Coburns included Gladys George, Leonard Penn, Monte Blue, Beth Belden, Robert Miles, and Alicia Rhett.

Biographical / historical:

Charles Douville Coburn (1877-1961), Georgia-born stage and screen actor, manager, director, and producer. Coburn founded the Mohawk Drama Festival in 1935 at Union College in Schenectady, New York. The festival was one of the first cooperative ventures of university and professional theater.
