Scope and content:

This is the second of two collections of Wylly Folk St. John material. This collection contains various personal materials and unpublished writings, including typed manuscripts of unpublished novels and short stories. Also included are research notes, newspaper clippings, and personal correspondence.

Biographical / historical:

Wylly Folk St. John 91908-1985) was born near Ehrhardt, South Carolina, and died in High Shoals, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia and worked at the Atlanta Journal and Constitution Sunday magazine for some time before joining her husband, Thomas St. John, an Army officer, in Germany. St. John was an author of articles, short stories, novels, and children's books, writing in several genres but especially children's mystery.
