The collection consists of an album that contains a group picture and 32 individual pictures of the University of Georgia senior class of 1898. An identical album has been disassembled and placed in the University picture file.

The University of Georgia (UGA) is the oldest, largest, and most comprehensive educational institution in Georgia. Although closed during the Civil War, the school was fully operational by 1898.
