Scope and content:

The collection consists of seven volumes of picture postcards, most of them from European trips made by Miss Mary Strahan.

Biographical / historical:

Mary Strahan was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Charles M. Strahan of the University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia. The Strahan family lived in the brick professors' dwelling, which formerly stood on the site of the present Law Library at the University of Georgia. Dr. Strahan was professor of civil engineering. Miss Mary Strahan taught French and Spanish at the University of Georgia after her father's retirement.
