Scope and content:

The collection consists of three scrapbooks kept by Eliza MacKay Elliott. They contain newspaper clippings concerning the Civil War. Two of the scrapbooks were originally composition books. The third was an account book dated 1860 and was kept by M.C. Elliott. The clippings have been removed from this volume and are in folders.

Biographical / historical:

Eliza MacKay Elliott (6 September 1831-1901) was called Leila. She married Frederick Augustus Habersham and they lived in Savannah.
