Scope and content:

The collection consists of the cards used in indexing volumes I-XVI of the Colonial Records of Georgia, a mammoth work of scholarship begun by Allen D. Candler in the early 20th century. The cards are arranged alphabetically under each number.

Biographical / historical:

"Kenneth Coleman, professor of history at the University of Georgia in Athens was the preeminent authority of his generation on colonial and revolutionary Georgia.
