The collection consists of an account book of John Sandefur for his general store and the Madison Hotel in Madison, Georgia. Entries for the general store (January 1819-October 1820) include the customer's name, date of purchase, page number of day book which lists items purchased, and price. Entries for the Madison Hotel (January 1822-March 1823) contain the date, customer's name, items purchased, and prices (drinks, meals, lodging, and stabling charges).
