Scope and content:

The collection consists of pictures of Harry Hodgson's University classmates, scrapbooks of personal and business interests, and various business papers reflecting the growth of Mr. Hodgson and his companies.

Biographical / historical:

Harry Hodgson, an 1893 University of Georgia graduate, helped to establish and direct the million dollar memorial fund of the 1920's as well as helping to establish the School of Commerce, now the College of Business. He worked with the Union Fertilizer Company of Warrenton which he later merged into the Hodgson Cotton Company and then into the Hodgson Oil and Refining Company. The final company was Hodgson's, Inc.
