Scope and content:

The collection consists of two scrapbooks in relation to John Archibald Campbell. Scrapbooks contain newspaper articles concerning Campbell's life and death (1887-1911), and typewritten copies of documents relating to the peace conference in Hampton Roads (1865) and Campbell's opinions (1872).

Biographical / historical:

John Archibald Campbell (1811-1889) was a native of Wilkes County, Georgia, and a graduate of the University of Georgia at the age of 15.
