Scope and content:

The collection consists of miscellaneous examples of handcraft from the nineteenth century and includes the following: quilt and drapery scraps from "Woodlands," the Godfrey Barnsley estate in Bartow County, Ga.; primitive painting on paper of shepherdess and animals; paper doll souvenir of the reunion of the Continental Guards, New Orleans, 1885; flower made of straw; handwritten valentine with a sprig of rosemary; needlework done on paper by M. A. Honeywell by using her mouth; decorative paper work; three patterns for embroidery; and embroidered collar, lace and thread.
