- Extent:
- 80 folder(s)
- Scope and content:
-
Arranged chronologically, excluding the committee binders, which are grouped together, this subseries includes the founding documents of the Georgia Project and information regarding the overall progress of the program. The majority of this subseries is comprised of memoranda, meeting minutes, correspondence, and budgetary and funding information provided to the members of the committee from 1996 to 1999. There are several reports analyzing the need and role of the Georgia Project in Dalton and in the larger Georgia Hispanic and Latino communities. Of particular significance is the Monterrey Accord, establishing the relationship between the University of Monterrey and the City of Dalton Public Schools and Whitfield County Schools. The accord defines the goals and role of the Georgia Project in the partnership.
