Wood and Associates Collection, Audiovisual Materials is comprised of 50 16mm films, three 2-inch videotapes, and ten quarter-inch open reel audio tapes, The materials document the public relations and advertising work of Wood & Associates for numerous political campaigns between the years of 1969 and 1992 including Georgia gubernatorial campaigns for Jimmy Carter (1970) and George Busbee (1974 and 1978), the U.S. senatorial campaigns of Sam Nunn (1972) and Norman Underwood (1980), the U.S. congressional campaigns of John J. Flynt, Jr. (1976), Smith Foster (1976) and Marge Thurman (1977), and the Atlanta mayoral campaign of Rodney Cook (1969) and Macon mayoral campaign of Buck Melton (1975). Also included is a commercial for swimming pool chlorinators manufactured by Tesco Chemical.

Biographical / historical:

Dorothy L. "Dot" Wood was influential advertising executive and advisor specializing in Georgia politics. Dot Wood died in June 2008.
