Scope and content:

The bulk of this subseries is 21 volumes, which Merritt purchased at an estate sale, titled Delphian Text, published by the Delphian Society in the late 1920s to promote the education of women. Also included are books and other publications related to Georgia history, politics and literature, as well as other subjects of interest to Merritt. Of note is Who's Who of American Women featuring Merritt, and an issue of The Journal of Southern Legal History that mentions Merritt and the Georgia state flag. Many items include notes or inscriptions to Merritt as well as clippings, letters and ephemera.
