Series IV. Political and Personal contains general information about Cleland's political career, including campaign materials, including his loss to Saxby Chambliss in 2002, brief correspondence, financial disclosure reports, and weekly schedules. Of note are reports by consultants Plante and Associates evaluating Cleland's career for information that could be used against him in upcoming political campaigns. The series also includes newspaper clippings and magazines about Cleland's life, including his service in Vietnam, and a letter sent to Cleland's parents by the U.S. Army regarding the injuries he sustained in Vietnam.

Divided into four subseries: A. Correspondence; B. Schedules; C. Political Involvement; D. Invitations.

Series IV. Political and Personal documents Col. Purcell's campaigns for state representative, his work in local and state Democratic Party organizations, his involvement in church activities.Included are campaign advertisements, clippings, and correspondence; meeting agendas and announcements; and church mission files.

Series IV. Prevention and Promotion documents Long's work in the field of mental health prevention and promotion and contains materials from numerous state, national, and international organizations that relate to specific prevention and promotions issues, groups, and events. Materials include planning, organizational materials, correspondence, meeting documents, reports, and papers. Some of the major organizations and events represented in the series are: the NMHA Prevention Commission, the National Prevention Coalition, the Society for Prevention Research, the Office of Prevention, the National Institute for Mental Health Prevention Committee, the Global Consortium for the Advancement of Promotion and Prevention, and the Biennial Conference Committee, which was charged with planning biennial conferences.

Includes copies of publications where Friend's images appeared, such as the Georgia Games and Fish Commission public bulletin and the Atlanta Journal. There is also a copy of a slide presentation script that corresponds to slides located in Series II.

Series IV. Professional Literature contains state reports, agency reports, project proposals, professional papers and articles related to disability advocacy and support systems that date from 1978 to 2009. This series is arranged in two subseries. Subseries A. Georgia Reports and Publications contains materials related to Georgia agencies and organizations and includes reports and papers co-authored by Dottie Adams. Subseries B. contains reports and publications from other states or national organizations. Materials in the series are arranged chronologically.

Series IV. Research contains the materials Wiarda collected throughout his career related to his research projects and areas of expertise, as well as documents related to research proposals and grant applications for research projects. The majority of the papers are newspaper clippings, including international newspapers, as well as memos, notes, conference materials, and unpublished works of others. Major subjects include Latin America, American foreign policy, international relations, comparative politics, and defense policy.

This series consists of speeches O'Neal delivered to a wide variety of constituents and colleagues, both as a sitting member of Congress and as a candidate. Files related to individual speeches contain typescripts, drafts, notes, correspondence and supporting material for his speeches. Also included are O'Neal's statements on the floor of the U.S. House that appeared in the Congressional Record. For additional speech material, see also Series III. Series IV. Speeches contains copies of speeches given by Shipp to civic and community groups about Georgia state politics, especially the 1990 gubenatorial campaign and the transition from Governer Joe Frank Harris to Governor Zell Miller.
