Historical Note
Isham Chaffin was born in Virginia in 1751. He married Patience Atkins (1764-1860). He died on March 3, 1823, in Wilkes County, Georgia.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of two documents: the will of Isham Chaffin of Wilkes County, Georgia, May 1822, and the obituary of Lemuel Chaffin that also records the dates Lucy Chaffin, Catharine Chaffin, and Elizabeth Chaffin died.
