Historical Note

Fred E. Barrett was the son of Charles E. Barrett, of the law firm Briggs & Barrett, and Cornelia Glidden. He was in the U.S. Army, stationed in France, during World War I.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of photographs of and postcards from Fred E. Barrett, Per. Det. H. A. S., stationed in France during World War I. Photographs include images of camp life and soldiers in uniform. Postcards are addressed to Miss Ruma Williamson in Jefferson, Georgia.
