Ella May Thornton (1885-1971) was the State Librarian for the state of Georgia.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of correspondence between Ella May Thornton and John W. Bonner, Jr. regarding various papers Miss Thornton had given to the University of Georgia Libraries. Also included are letters from Norborne T. N. Robinson of the Congressional Digest, Washington, D.C., to Ella May regarding the questions Ella May had asked about General James Neil Bethune and John Bethune.
