Louis S. Moore was chairman of the Railroad Committee in Thomasville, Georgia, and a state senator.

The collection consists primarily of letters received by Mr. Moore regarding business, professional and social organizations such as the Municipal League, and correspondence with the state historian. The 1853 item is a receipt for 5 bales of cotton.
