Olin Downes (1886-1955) was an American music critic with the Boston Post (1906-1924) and the New York Times (1924-1955).
The Articles consist of articles written by Olin Downes from approximately 1930-1952. In manuscript form with some corrected copies, the articles relate to criticism of American music in general and to specific composers, conductors, musicians, and productions. Includes articles on Serge Koussevitsky, Vladimir Horowitz, and Jean Sibelius and radio scripts of the CBS Symphony Broadcasts.
