Athens Commission Company was a brokerage, located in the Swift Building on Oconee Street in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia. The owners were Alonzo Henry O'Farrell and George Tyndall Hodgson.
The collection consists mainly of business papers of Athens Commission Company, dating 1895-1899. Included are business correspondences to Maurice Jankower, George Hodgson, A. H. Farrell, and Athens Commission Company, from distributors of coal, flour, typewriters, popcorn, and tobacco; and correspondence from Sol Flatau. Also included are business letters George Hodgson received as an insurance agent for various companies; and a business letter to Manufacturers Hazelton & Dozier.
