Collection Description

Historical Note

William D. Rollnick is the former chairman of Mattel, Inc., former chairman of Genstar Rental Electronics, and has worked as an executive in the aerospace industry and founded and served on the board of directors of a number of computer and computer-peripheral firms. He was a board member of the Metropolitan Opera Association, New York and the National Trust for the Humanities, Washington, D.C.; the former Vice Chairman of the White House Endowment Fund; former board and executive committee member of the American Ballet Theatre in New York and of the San Francisco Opera. Mr. Rollnick is co-director of the William D. Rollnick and Nancy Ellison Rollnick Foundation, which was established for the support of the arts.
