Effie Rogers Rhodes (1906-1993) was born in White Plains, Georgia, to Emma Parker and William Thomas Rogers. After graduating from White Plains High School in 1922, she moved to Athens, Georgia, to attend the Lucy Cobb Institute. She later dropped out in order to marry Roy Rhodes, with whom she would have four children, one of which did not survive infancy.
This collection consists of letters, newspaper articles, three scrapbook pages, and event programs related to Effie Rogers Rhodes and her time at the Lucy Cobb Institute.
