Jean Charlot (1898-1979) was a French-born muralist, painter and book illustrator was artist in residence at the University of Georgia during the 1940s.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of two typed letters: dated October 1, 1944, Northampton, Massachusetts, "Dear Mrs. Cumming," signed "Jean C.;" dated November 13, 1944, Northampton, Massachusetts, "Dear Mrs. Cumming," signed "Jean Charlot." Both letters concern Charlot's book, Charlot Murals in Georgia.
