John Calhoun was a member of the Georgia Senate and a local political leader of Columbus, Georgia. Not the same as the South Carolinian John C. Calhoun.
The collection consists of one letter: dated Columbus, February 4, 1846, "Dear Sirs," (Messrs. John P. Savage, Francis P. Stubbs, and John Boozer of Oglethorpe University at Milledgeville, Georgia), regarding the Phi Delta Society.
