Historical Note
Robert Edwin Bruce attended University High School and received a civil engineering degree from the University of Georgia in 1872.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of correspondence between Robert E. Bruce and his sister Annie J. Bruce while Robert was a student at University High School and the University of Georgia, and Annie was in South Carolina. Correspondence tells of studies and activities at school. The collection also includes correspondence from Robert to his cousin (June 5, 1870), and a certificate from University of Georgia, Athens, August 2, 1871, certifying that R. E. Bruce completed studies of the Junior Class, School of Chemistry.
