The Dixie Dolls Company of Dalton, Georgia was a small business started in the late 1940s, that specialized in making handmade dolls.
This collection contains a complete set of African American dolls made by the Dixie Doll Company of Dalton, Georgia. They include Uncle Remus (or Uncle Mose), Aunt Mandy, Dixie-Belle, and Dixie-Beau characters. Also included are two handmade Uncle Remus dolls.
