Simeon Zane Murphy (1814-1895) was born in Camden County, New Jersey and moved to Jefferson County, Georgia.
Samuel Bennett Tarver (1780-1846) was from Jefferson County, Georgia. He served in the Senate of the State of Georgia in 1838.
