Harry Crews (1935-2012) was an American novelist, playwright, short story writer and essayist.

The collection consists of correspondence between Herb Yellin (1935-2014), founder and publisher of Lord John Press, and author Harry Crews (1935-2012). Included are, 16 letters and one postcard from Crews to Yellin; seven copies of letters by Yellin to Crews; three photos of Crews; a set of galley proofs and a set of page proofs (incomplete) to Madonna at Ringside; eleven checks (cancelled); and a taxpayer ID number form.
