Edward Scott Sell (1887-1972) was a professor of agriculture, rural social science and geography at Georgia State Teachers College and the University of Georgia.
The collection consists of the manuscript copy of History of the State Normal School, Athens, Georgia by E. S. Sell, dated 1923. Sell writes about early history of Gilmer Hall, permanent organization of the state Normal School, curriculum, gifts to the school, buildings on campus, and the names of presidents and faculty. The manuscript contains handwritten notations and corrections.
