Historical Note
Paula Snelling was a school counselor at Laurel Falls Camp, which Lillian Smith headed. The two were in a lifelong relationship widely considered to be a closeted romantic relationship.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of letters from Paula Snelling to Jo Ann Robinson, Professor of History Emeritus at Morgan State University, regarding Lillian Smith and Professor Robinson's research of her work. Also included is a copy of Lillian Smith's death certificate.
