William Hope Hodgson (1875-1918), English author, and British soldier in the Mercantile Marines (killed in WWII). Lived in France at the outbreak of the war, and later lived in Cardigan, Wales.
The collection consists of items relating to William Hope Hodgson. Items include: three Christmas cards (undated), signed "Lissie S. Hodgson"; correspondence to H. C. Hoenig, dated January [4?], 1949, signed "Lissie Hodgson," regarding receipt of a money order from Hoenig; three photographs (undated), two of William Hope Hodgson, and one unknown (possibly Lissie Hodgson); one advertisement for two of Hodgson's books ("Night land" and "Carnacki the ghost-finder"); and biographical information on Hodgson.
