Atticus G. Haygood (1839-1896) an editor, author, and educator, was a distinguished president of College and a progressive bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. For more information, see the article Atticus B. Haywood in the New Georgia Encyclopedia.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of one form letter: dated Oxford, Georgia, October 1893 from Atticus G. Haygood, inquiring about selling "Jack-Knife and Brambles," with a handwritten note from Haygood on the reverse side. Also included is a press release with reviews on "Jack-Knife and Brambles."
