Ivy W. Duggan was from Hancock County, Georgia, and served in the Civil War as a member of the Hancock Confederate Guards. When he enlisted he was Associated Principal of Washington Institute, a Baptist Academy located in Linton, Hancock County, Georgia. Duggan was a member of the 15th Georgia Regiment of Infantry.
The collection consists of a transcript of correspondences, articles, poems, and obituaries written by Ivy Duggan while serving in the Confederate Army from 1861-1864.
