Carson McCullers (1917-1967) was an author from Columbus, Georgia. She is considered to be among the most significant American writers of the 20th Century, best known for her novels The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, The Ballad of the Sad Cafe, Reflections in a Golden Eye, and The Member of the Wedding. The collection consists of photographs of Carson McCullers and the correspondence of Marielle Bancou, much of it from Carson McCullers.
