Richard H. Clark (1824-1896) was born in Springfield, Georgia. He was educated at Springfield Academy and then was admitted to practice law in 1844. He married Harriet G. Charlton on August 7, 1855 and, after her death, Anna Maria Lott. In 1862 he became a judge of the Southwestern Circuit, resigning in 1866, and in 1876 he became a judge of the city court of Atlanta. He became judge of the superior courts of the Stone Mountain Circuit in 1885.
The collection consists of three items: a letter dated Mount Hope Pl., October 13, 1815, to Judge Richard H. Clark, Atlanta, Georgia, signed "Aug. P. Wetter," relating legal cases; account page dated 1860 for Mrs. R. H. Clark, listing clothing items; a legal note dated April 27, 1867.
