Byron Ashley Parker, sentenced to death for the murder of Christy Ann Griffith in Douglas County, Georgia, was executed by lethal injection on December 11, 2001.

The collection consists of correspondence between Byron Ashley Parker and Bettie M. Sellers from 1986-2001. Further correspondents include Byron's parents and Karen Hall.
