Ferdinando H. Coppernoll, Union Civil War soldier, fought in Company B, 75th Regiment of the New York Volunteers.
The collection consists of eight diaries of Ferdinando Coppernoll from 1863-1918. Diary entries concern Coppernoll's day-to-day activities during the war, while on campaign mainly in Louisiana and Texas, and life in New York. The collection also includes a piece of Confederate shrapnel Coppernoll found just a few yards east of Fort Pickens in 1862.
