The North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church had a centennial in 1966. It was eventually brought to the University of Georgia from the North Georgia Conference Commission on Archives and History.
The North Georgia United Methodist Conference was established in 1866 and was headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. It now contains 1000 churches, 1500 clergy, and has 320,000 members.
The North Georgia United Methodist Conference standard is the brass standard used to hold the centennial banner. It does not include the banner itself.
