Benjamin Henry Barrow (1883-1963)was a civil engineer and county surveyor of Clarke County, Georgia. He was eductaed at Grove School (Miss Julia Moss); Athens Public Schools; University of Georgia Class of 1903 (did not graduate), and was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity. Son of David Crenshaw Barrow, Jr. Barrow married Henry Hull Lucas in 1907, they had a daugheter, Susan Frances Barrow (Mrs. William Tate).
The papers consist of biographical information, diaries, field notes, correspondence, legal documents, bills, schoolwork, photographs, maps, and blueprints.

Benjamin Henry Barrow papers were acquired by the University of Georgia's Hargrett Library in December 1990. Additional materials were received in May 1991. The papers were contributed by Mrs. Susan F. Barrow Tate, and she included many explanatory notes.
