Magnolia Wynn Le Guin (1869-1947) was born in High Falls (Monroe County, Georgia) to J.A.C. (1821-1907) and Mary Ann Wynn (1828-1904). Her family moved to Wynn's Mill (Henry County, Georgia) when she was three years old, and she lived there the rest of her life. In 1892 she married Ghu Gilbert Le Guin (1870-1950) and they had nine children.
Charles A. Le Guin is the grandson of Magnolia Wynn Le Guin and a professor of history at Portland State University
The collection consists of diaries and copybooks kept by Magnolia Wynn Le Guin along with some family correspondence and correspondence and materials concerning publication of the diaries by Charles Le Guin, grandson of Magnolia Wynn Le Guin.
