Historical Note
Sir Patrick Houston came over with Oglethorpe and became a major landowner near Savannah. His son, John Houston, was elected governor in 1778. -- "Houston, Sir Patrick." Georgia. Candler, Allen D., ed. Vol. 2. Atlanta: State Historical Association, 1906.
